Hi,
In the text book, the definition of definition-clear says "initial and
final nodes DEF and USE" while the slides just say "initial". Which is
correct? If the textbook is correct, that means the second example of a
def-use on lecture 13, slide 15 is wrong.
Also a response to Aleem's question about whether we need to memorize
formula (especially all those from the last couple of lectures) would be
GREATLY appreciated at this point in time.
Thnx
p.s. Course staff: PLEASE answer the newsgroup if you read our
postings(which hopefully you do),
we don't want another repeat of the night...er...days before deliverable
2. The money we paid for this course makes us your clients, thus
we hope we are getting the best customer service possible.

HI Jason,

The def-clear starts with a defining node and ends with a use node. I
looked at slide 15. The path 2-3-4-5 is an def-clear path. Other paths
are 2-3-7 and 2-3-7-9. The 2-3-4-6 is a def-clear path for variable i
not tv.

For your second question, if you need any formulas I will provide them
in the exam.

The Project 2 is now marked, and the booklets are outside of my office.

I assure you you get the best of the education for your money :-)

Greetings,
