Hi,

I was wondering if you could provide some clarification on the midterm.

1. When/where is it?
2. Types of questions?
3. Optional? Mandatory?

There doesn't seem to be any information on the web page.

RCH 208 is a pretty small room - apparently it seats about 30 people.

I know the midterm's "optional", but I'm hoping there's another
location...

The UW Bookings office also says there are rooms booked from 6-9 for SE
465 elsewhere in RCH, but since the times don't match up I'm quite
confused...

I'd also like to ask about coverage. What lecture can be considered
the cutoff for the midterm?

Also, would it be possible to post previous midterms on the website?
Currently there is still a placeholder for past exams.

With regards to the 'optional' midterm, if we choose not to write it,
where does the 20% of the final mark that the midterm was worth get
allocated to? (ie: is the course project worth 50% and the final 50% or is
the final now 70% or something else...)

Thanks in advance,
KJ

Dear Justin,

The subject was covered in detail in the class.
For Q1. see newsgroup posting
For Q2. I discussed the in the class
For Q3. Optional in the sense you get the highest mark on a 20(mid) -
30(proj) - 50(fin) scheme or a 40(proj) - 60(fin) scheme

KK.
